Cooperatives in Nepal

The movement SASA is proud to be part of.

Co-operatives are one of Nepal’s most important grassroots financial movements. Owned and run by their members on the principle of one-member-one-vote, they bring saving and affordable credit to communities that formal banks often cannot reach.

SASA operates under the Cooperative Act and the oversight of the Division Cooperative Office. As a SACCOS, our promise is simple: keep members’ money in the community, and return the profit to the people who created it.
